The history of the parish of Saint Barbara in Ożarowice near Tarnowskie Góry is not long, because it goes back to the 1950s. In the village we can see an old church, which was built as early as 1781. The building was erected in the Baroque style. Its founder was Felicjan Bontani, the then owner of the part of Ożarowice, a just ennobled immigrant from Italy.
