The Classicist palace in Tarnowskie Góry Karłuszowiec is an impressive building. Its present look results from a nineteenth-century reconstruction. From the mid-eighteenth century until the end of WW2, the residence belonged to the Donnersmarcks, a powerful family of the Siemianowice-Bytom line, whose members were the owners of large estates and a number of industrial plants. At present, the palace houses a complex of schools of art and design.
