Pierściec, a small village located north of Skoczów, is known primarily for its Shrine of Saint Nicholas, which is unique in Poland. However, only the few know that Pierściec can also boast of an interesting sightseeing and natural attraction, which is a historic mill infested with a colony of very rare bats - lesser horseshoe bats. Therefore, this object is a protected area of special natural habitats of the Natura 2000 network.
